IMG_6282.jpeg IMG_6279.jpeg IMG_6287.jpeg IMG_6291.jpeg My great grandfather made this for my great grandmother. I’m not sure exactly when, but probably in the first quarter of the last century. He was a toolmaker and carpenter, not a jeweler, but I think it’s sweet. It seems to be made of spring steel and gold, which is a very appropriate combination for her :)

My great grandmother gave it to my godmother sometime in the early 1970’s, when it no longer fit her. My godmother gave it to me a few years ago. It’s too small even for my pinky finger, and I’m struggling to think of a good way to display it. I’m thinking of getting a small model hand, since I have some small rings of my grandmother’s as well, and a few other rings I love looking at but rarely wear.
