I think someone wanted Grandma's brooch back. Either that or this was something even I didn't know about. I got two offers on it but it already had a bid. Sold for more than double the high Message offer. (what in the heck?!) Buyer already paid.

Meanwhile a lot of four gold-filled bracelets, true antiques, sold for $6 over original starting price. Go figure. Honestly.

Makes two of us! Most molded pot metal pieces go for $20-40.

The GAR fob never did sell. The Schreiner was sitting here forever and since I'm about to close shop it seemed a good time to send it on its way.

Sure was, apparently! Not signed, but somebody knew more than I did. If no one had spotted it, a buyer could have nabbed it for $20!

One of each. The fife dated to the 1920s and went tootling off to somewhere near Chicago. Reinactor probably. The fob was from an Encampment. or is. I just relisted it.

For a damaged piece...head, shaken. Their perfect ones can go for $500-800, so $270 with enamel chips and missing stones isn't bad at all.

Nice getting a nice shot in the Ebay arm every now & then's a kick.I've had good ID'ed stuff go cheap & what I figured was more lowball go bonkers.Ebay's a lottery & watching those listing's count down's a hoot (esp w/ a herd watching).
You were lucky nobody nabbed it at $20 and surprising some Pro didn't offer you $15 for it-you were under a lucky star with that piece.

Wow, lucky thing it was an auction. Before I saw the responses first thought was that this must be an unsigned designer piece someone recognized. It reminded me a bit of the older Trifari that is so collected, I hadn't heard of Du Jay before.

Just searched Du Jay. Seems like mostly unsigned? Always unsigned? Anyone know??

Definitely something to keep a look out for.

Nice ID Aznathalie! And well done on the sale Evelyb.

Not a brand I was familiar with either, although I'd heard the name. You never really know.
