Thank you all for your help. I have had this teapot for about 30 years and have no idea what it is. It does have a chip so more interested in learning more about it not so much the value. I received it from an elderly lady that went through the war in Latvia and then moved to Canada. I realize that she may have picked it up at any time during the time period. Thank you for any ideas..I really an quite fond of the enamel IMG_0384.JPG IMG_0385.JPG IMG_0386.JPG IMG_0387.JPG IMG_0388.JPG

It's English, mid to late 19th C and probably made in Devon or thereabouts. I may yet remember the best known factory names who did this neo classical stuff with a terracotta body.

Another question...would it be worthwhile to have it repaired and where could this be done?

People usually answer that it's only worth it if the item is really valuable to begin with. Apparently, repairs are not cheap.

I don't think it's Pratt, that terracotta is usually a Devon or Dorset maker. I still can't recall who I'm thinking of. Bother.

I'm thinking Dudson maybe. Wedgwood also did stuff like this, but it would be marked. But I don't know for sure.
