Featured Templar artefact?

    bought this strange stone. could it be a templar artefact? On the back there is a unknown symbol. It is a real stone. i still wait for an answer where the owner got it from.

    That could be from the Crusades ......

    but I'm not sure that artists signed their work back then...??????

    i don´t know if the inscription on the back is a symbol or a signature. Could also be a mason mark.

    That’s a very cool thing,you really do find some interesting stuff..Also wondering about that signature looking mark (as Komo pointed out)

    just heard from the owner that in was found in an old tinn can with a lot of relegious objects.

    the stone looks old :playful:, but the carving and mark on the back doesn't in my opinion, looks too fresh

    I don't think it's horribly old. Maybe a newer copy of a very old object?

    I like your stone and while I don't know how old it is, it did make me watch a youtube video of someone carving a common stone, using a Dremel like tool, that made me want to carve some stones myself! It didn't appear to be difficult so it makes me wonder.

    So this post isn't at all helpful to your search but just wanted to share that I got something a bit off-track that I liked!
