    Hello everybody,

I have 2 porcelain boxes, I couldn't find anything about..
I don't anything about porcelain haha. They just looked nice :)

Both boxes are unsigned, and seem to be haindpainted.
(Is this painted or enamelled??? Or is that the same??)

    Dimensions BIG box:
    Height: 8,0 cm/ 3.1 inch.
    Diameter: 12,7 cm/ 5.0 inch.

    Dimensions SMALL box:
    Height: 10,0 cm/ 3.9 inch.
    Diameter: 8,3 cm/ 3.26 inch.

I'd like to know more about:
    -Origine
    -Age
    -Style/maker
    -Value

    _________
I just found out last night that the smaller one actually is an rice box/jar from Thailand. Don't how how old it could be.

The bigger one could also be some sort of food-container.
    Any information is welcome!

    Thank you very much!

Hello R. Antonis - welcome! I don't think either item is very old. These types of items have been imported from Thailand and China since at least the 1970's. They could probably be used for food (check for lead in the glaze) but here in the US their primary use is as decorative items. You can find similar items on ebay for about $20 and for less at flea markets.

    Thank you very much!

But I'm wondering how they got to these prices (see the 2 links),
seems like kind of the same boxes.

First, you would need to round up a group of suckers...Seriously, though, the links go through to a "designer" website that also claims that part of the proceeds go to charity. I would like to see how those pieces are marked but they don't show that on the site. They may be unique hand worked pieces by known Thai artists or workshops but they don't look like anything special to me. While your pieces are a little nicer than the one in the link below it gives you an idea of more realistic prices.
