Thank you for having me!

  1. Hi I'm heather. I've always had a great love for antiques and was just looking for a forum of like-minded people. I'm new to social media and using forums on the web. I love to observe antiques and have full respect of the pieces to not alter or harm them in any way.

I collect some ancient coins and love watching youtube videos about antique homes and castles. My fave by far right now is Abandoned World Explorer! He finds all the antiques in the old homes and shows such great respect for the homes and the items that are in them. He's also a fab storyteller and brings the homes to life a bit through his words. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRCzSTHXVfL2BMS-GCvX0WA if anyone is interested.

I'm not an expert by any means but I've learned a lot over the years about antiques and I hope I can be of some assistance with questions. But I am most excited to view all of the beautiful items on this forum and discuss!

Welcome, Heather. We can always use another neuron in the collective brain.

We're going to have need of you sometimes. By 'some' do you mean a few, or coins of a particular type? I collect cameos & intaglios, a sister field.

  5. Haha -Both. I have some ancient roman and some Bulgarian and Persian. I don't know everything of course but I have learned a lot about them and some common things to the ancient Roman coins at least.

Hi Heather, and WELCOME to ANTIQUERS!!! Happy you found us!! Did you know this site also has a "sister site" called "COIN TALK"?? I 'sit in' once in a while, but mostly haven't a clue what they're talking about, LOL!!!! But from what I see they do a lot of 'ancients'......! Think I'll be sticking to Antiques!!!

  10. WOW no I didn't have any idea! Like I said, I'm not a social person on the internet so this is my first reach to a forum-type site.

Sometimes you'll see COIN TALK's link at the top of this site to the right....easy peasy!!! But know that we also have a couple of "coin gurus" here on this site as well!!:):)

Welcome to the forum! Although we want to keep you here you should really check out CoinTalk too since they really have an excellent group of ancient collectors and dealers. Lots of top notch information there.
