    I just wanted to take some time out and thank all the people on this board for your superb expertise in giving knowledge of jewelry to others.
    Went to an estate sale where this lady was selling some costume jewelry. This ring was described as gold plated with rhinestones. She happily sold it to me for $5.00.
    The four stones tested as diamonds. And of course, the 14kP.Also marked CRESCENT for Crescent jewelers.

    Score! Plumb gold was only a "thing" for a little while. Those of us who know can clean up sometimes. (just don't get fooled by the HGE pieces)
