Here is my find this morning at the good will a beautiful oil on board .I sure its a Louis Anthony Burnett...Him and Caroline were both wonderful artist. My whole opinion on the issue of the names is that over the years the signatures were mixed one of the signatures drops the T in different angle and believe it was louis they both painted around the same time and knew of each other so my thoughts are the dropped T signature is louis [IMG]

I never know what to say when people post "Burnett" paintings -- did you have a question about this piece?

I do not remember seeing that at the 1984 Louisiana World's Exposition. The artwork for that event was masterfully handled. If you are talking about 1991, I don't know what state hosted that?

I recommend photographing the signature area at high resolution (in natural light, no flash) and posting it here. Sometimes, with manipulation, the computer can see what the human eye cannot.

    Not always, of course. ;)
