    Hi All

I have what I think maybe something of a rarity. In amongst a folder of periodicals I recently obtained, I found a copy of "The Empress" periodical published by Thacker, Spink and Co. in Calcutta. Issue is June 1900, no.2.

First of all I cant find a single other example online. The closest are a couple of library references, to later volumes. In fact one library actually sited that 1902 was the earliest known copy, going to 1914. Obviously not, as here is one dated 1900.

Not only that, but it just so happens to feature Field Marshall Lord Roberts on the cover, along with a piece of him discussing the boer? war on the inside front page. As well as that, it has some good photos of the horse racing and track in Calcutta.

So, I know its probably not right to discuss value, but I think its worth asking the question is this likely to have any value, as I'd rather not let it go for a few quid if its worth a lot more. :)

    Thanks
    Paul
