I am going to give this forum a try. I see no Lefton info here and I am not sure if this is the place for me. But I thought I would at least give it a shot.

I am a refugee from the PGP board on ebay. Don't know if the new ebay forums will work for me either. But I am going to give them a try. I think I am fairly well known on the ebay boards as I have been on them for a very long time. If you had a Lefton question I was probably the one to give you the info you looked for.

Made lots of friends there and my share of enemies. It just goes with the territory I think, not everyone is going to pleased by my words or thoughts. Thats OK with me though. As long as I am true to myself other opinions don't faze me much.

I have never been a dealer. Can't bring myself to part with any of my lovelies. Borderline OCD I suspect when it comes to collecting. Been a collector since I was 14 - about 40 years ago - and have had numerous and various collections of PGP and other items. My current obsession is geology collectibles. Rocks in my life - and rocks in my head some would say. And this is the wrong board for that so no mention of it from me will follow on this forum. My PGP collections have included Roseville, Fenton, and of course Lefton.

A little about me. I am 57 and single and work 2 jobs. One not so great but it provides a regular and secure income. The other is a part time job that I really love - because it provides the emotional needs I do not get from my full time job. Things like appreciation and respect for example. I am a home body - not much for socializing in large crowds or among strangers. I would rather read a good book than watch TV. Been around computers since the 1970s. We get along pretty well I would say. I would be lost without my computer I think. And it would make my part time job impossible for sure.

All for now. I don't expect to be posting here much. But will try to do a lot of reading to get up to speed with this forum that is new to me.

Great to have you here. Your advice on the PGP board was always of the highest caliber. Your participation here I'm sure will be met with the greatest appreciation.

It seems like the Wild West now the way the boards are going. Too bad. I always appreciated your advice. Some of us lurked on boards besides the Antiques. We learned a lot. Welcome.

Welcome aboard. We share an interest in rocks so you are not alone. I know that at least one or two others from the Antiques board have interest. After all, they are really old ;).

I still have a rock and mineral collection that I started when young but am not actively collecting. I will pick up something if it strikes my fancy and the price is right. I have forgotton most of what I used to know about the subject.

I agree about the WWWest. Kind of always been that way. Still looking for that Matt Dillon...

I am regular board reader on ebay, going back to the chat boards they used to have. My first post on ebay with my first user ID was on one of those old boards - back in 97 or 98. Used to spend lots of time on the PGP, T&S, and others.

Rethinking about telling the story mentioned earlier. That feedback I left has been there since March 1998. Would hate to see it go bye bye now, after all these years. I did just now go to check it is still there. It is. The filter did not catch it...LOL.

OK. Maybe its time for it to go bye bye anyway. Not really a story - just a feedback I was asked to leave. As mentioned this ebay user ASKED for "anyone" to leave him feedback to see if the filter would catch it. So I did - using another ebay ID. Check out ebay user cha-s second feedback - from norcrestchina_info on March 12 1998 at 18:33. But don't tell ebay - its been there for 16+ years now. And remember he honestly asked for feedback of this type - it is not the type I would ever leave for anyone unless they specifically asked for it....The filter was not that smart, like so many things on ebay. So many in fact that I have become accustomed to ebays stupidity.

Hah hah! Now they imagine things that aren't intended. Then they apparently never thought people would be so devious! :joyful:

    Hi -
I know we didn't quite see eye to eye at one time, but this is a new board and a chance for a new start.

    Welcome aboard.

Thank you for all the welcomes. Yes a new start. A new chance to put all I have learned into practice in hopes of taking a small role in creating a better place....Even the PG&P was once small and unknown.
