my wild guess is - it's a picasso blue period reproduction ?

 

Thought 1 - you should go back to the image and edit it to "Full Image."

Thought 2 - You haven't said whether you see a signature. If you do, please take a closeup photo of it and post.

 

As above... A reproduction of Picasso's 'The Old Guitarrist' here in its correct orientation. But in what medium -- oil or print -- you'll have to tell us.

I think this is not a "reproduction" by way of a printing process, but perhaps a reproduction done as a class assignment by a student - to paint in the style of a famous artist.

The original post appears to be a slightly different painting - can anyone else see this? Or might I be seeing something that's not the case?

Thanks, they are different, so I'm of the belief that this is just some old student art, nothing more valuable about that.

 

It may be a copy made from a photograph which would explain the inert quality.
