There is still silver out there cheap

    Picked up some sterling last weekend for cheap (4 bucks) a pair of candle sticks weighted and the pictured cup. The cup body tests as silver but the dragon handle tests much higher (using 18k acid) with a much stronger reaction then the body. The mark on the base is really well worn and i cant make heads or tails out of it so hoping someone here can recognize the style of cup.     With the 18 acid on testing stone, the faster the reaction comes up, the purer the silver. A really quick reaction can mean silverplate. That doesn't explain why the cup would have a slower reaction. So..dunno.
