I am so sorry I missed the first day of that yard sale. I guess they do storage locker clean outs, and they have an old horse barn, and the old stalls have different things in them. They do it yearly, next year I'll be there the first day. One of the coolest things I bought there was a gothy black cotton parasol, modern, but brand new in the package, for $4. I will have to photograph it for you guys. Since we are having a major heatwave here and I have a funeral to attend Saturday, if there are graveside services, I will be using it. I got some of the jewelry at that barn sale. I took some clothing to my consignment store and got some jewelry there. I had my eyeglasses fixed, and another thrift is right there. I knew one thrift was having a clearance sale, so I took them bags and packing material and found some things there. Everything upstairs was $1, so I bought hats and purses to take to my consignment shop. I had errands to run near another thrift. So it mostly was along the way of things I had to do anyway. Today it was an eyeglass issue, so no jewelry, but I found two little black dresses for $4 each. The thrifts here are just trying to blow merchandise out. Some stop taking donations until they do. And it's ALWAYS being lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
