Hi, I picked these cute little thimbles up today.. there's a Wedgwood, sterling turquoise, Alpaca sterling abalone? Alaska signed, wood one is from Denmark and no markings on the blue and white one.. any ideas on age..

Alpaca is not sterling. It is an alloy - Mexico's alternative to nickel silver, also called German silver. However, Alpaca does tarnish like silver.

I only collect silver and gold thimbles but I'll try to help.....
I don't think wooden one has a lot of age.
I don't know much about Wedgwood thimbles but I'm thinking not that old.
Cluttered is right about Alpaca not being silver but I have a Victorian beaded bag that has an Alpaca clasp so it's been around for some time, doesn't really help to date your thimble though.
The Sterling one with Turquoise is the interesting one for me, are there any more marks? maybe under the apex? Does the Turquoise look real? they sometimes used pottery to look like a gem set thimble.
That one could be an antique thimble.

    Edit....
Looking again at the Alpaca one I don't think it's old.

Ok, that's a nice thimble and would clean up a treat.
I love Turquoise in thimbles and they're not around every corner here.
    Nice find :)
