This Delft urn with dog finial, is it old?

    Very hard from just the pics of course, but I'm going to say probably yes on this. I'm not sure if the numbers are meant to be a date, as it may be a bit earlier, ie late 18thC especially if the mark is for Pieter van den Briel. Nice looking piece.

    is the image made by transferware? If so that would put it later than Pieter van den Briel who lived late 17th cent.

    Looks hand painted to me. You wouldn't get that unevenness in the color with transfers.

    thank you for all your info. I was wondering about. Also it seems to be on an uneven surface, is that possible to do a transfer on something like that? or does it have to be flat?
