This bracelet is on Marketplace, and the seller is suggesting a stupid price €999, now down to €99, but I'm not convinced it's worth €0,99. Although, obviously, he isn't about the price. The seller says "Old bracelet Looking for photos from the origins of the bracelet. Know what this one stands for,,, Origin of this one,,, Estimate,,,." Can anybody help me to answer his question? The only places I can read are 'Biscay, and Soviet'. Thank you. No other information available.
1930s to possibly 50s ish French souvenir enamel on brass plaques with town or city crests. I like these and buy them, but never more than a few pounds. That one is minimal value without clasp.
@Houseful @Ownedbybear Thanks very much. I shall go back to her and let her know. Will also see if she can read the names of the towns.
I have a very similar one I purchased recently, though not quite as ornate as that and possibly a little newer than Bear has suggested. Mine is from France with the crests of Lyons on it. It was 2 euros at a charity shop, perhaps not a very accurate estimate but that's what I paid nonetheless.
