  1. This jug has been a mystery for me for over 7 years, and in one day, just by changing my search words, I came across this site that helped me identify what it was. Although I still have no idea where it originates from or the age, at least I know it is a Botijo.     I actually have some Cuban in-laws whose parents' parents used these as musical instruments in the 50s-60s.

  7. 8 inches wide, 81/2 inches from top of handle to bottom, the bottom rim is 4 inches and the handle it's self is 2 inches tall
