Couldn't pass that up! Research indicated it is a McCoy piece. Just sharing.

Free table? The free table in mine might have outdated stuffing mix or past date white bread. Congrats!

They used to have food giveaways, but like you mentioned, some items were past the "sell by" date. Most stores wouldn't give away anything that was legal to sell. About a year ago, the food stopped being donated. When I asked the site supervisor, she said that all food donations are going to the community center now. I think the non-food items are things a resident either moved out of the apartment or passed away and their things get left on the table. Knick-knacks are a rarity, although I did get a lighthouse painting years ago. It's mostly clothing and shoes now.

Even that sounds good. The food bank tosses post-Best By food even if it's perfectly edible. Clothes and shoes go into the recycling bin out back. Then again I wear size 12N girlfeet sneakers, so even if they had any I wouldn't get any.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I find that's the problem with most donated shoes and clothes. Even if I wash them, they are either the wrong size for me, a style I don't care for, or made of a material I don't like.

...or can't wear. You have to dig, and be willing to "settle".

Nice find those smaller pieces of McCoy can have decent value for their size.
