Thought I'd found a pencil signed Chagall - it's not, but I can't make out signature (Madeline?)

I found this a few days ago at a thrift store; at first I thought it was a signed Chagall! But the signature obviously isn't his, but I can't make out what it says (Madeline?) - does anyone know who this artist is?
    Any help would be appreciated!
    PS - It's a 18.5" x 22.5" art work (paper size visible) in a 35" x 39" frame - wouldn't it be better in a smaller frame (especially for shipping!) ?

The question is: how big is the print?

If the print itself is smaller, you might try selling it by itself, or in a smaller frame... so long as you are not trimming the print.

The frame gives it import and adds perception of value. But you could always give buyer option of with/without.

Presentation can make all the difference, but so can shipping cost. It's a cheap frame - extruded metal with the print held by spring clips at the corners.

Is this a break in the glass?

True. It is an inexpensive frame. But matting nice and greatly enhances work. Anyway, just my thoughts. Differing opinions equally valid.

    It's a inexpensive frame & that's the plastic cover that's cracked

Very good point. Not worth the cost of shipping.

The framing doesn't bode well for the value of the print.
