I got this last week at a local thrift store. I don't know what the style is or what to call it?
But I like it - and just wanted to show it to you'all!

    LOL. Good one.

The painting reminds me of Soviet Realism.

Realist is a good term. And a genre scene. I would think it a student work. Can certainly see why it'd catch your eye. And lovely title.

Whatever the style might be called, the "artist" was someone with little skill in painting human anatomy.

I would think the angularity was deliberate.

Looking up Craig Watts artist there is a painter/artist who seems well known if you look at awards & shows on his website - is that this artist?

I’d call it a Neo Realism Portrait.

    I think they're having a break up.
Artists often paint themselves, whether intentional or not.
I suspect the artist looks just like the guy in the photo.
Art student/amateur piece, looks like. It probably hung in a show, because of the tag on the back.
Are they really so out of proportion, or is it the way it is photographed from above? Can you get us a shot straight on?
