Featured Three candy containers - made where? how old?

    I got these three candy containers a couple of weeks ago. Two are cardboard and leather suitcases - the broken up tan one is 3" by 2 1/2", the red one is 4" by 2". The woven straw "trunk" is 3" by 2".
    I've seen similar suitcase containers described as antique and made in Germany, but haven't found a reputable source to confirm that.
    I haven't seen a woven straw container similar to this one.
    Any ideas?

    Those are neat. I like the leather ones. Never knew of these. Live and learn. :)

    Love the Red leather and Straw ones!! I'm thinkin' the brown leather might be toasted, (JMHO:sorry:)!!

    That makes more sense, fid.

    I have had more luck finding them as candy containers, however.

    How would you describe the woven one? I'm thinking straw trunk or picnic hamper?
