It took me two days of extensive cleaning to get this thing working properly. But now the tubes all slide in and out very smoothly







You probably can't read that (and it was bloody hard to photograph!) but it's hand-engraved and says: "S Rossiter".

 

It doesn't look like the name was engraved,probably scratched on with a knife blade.

 

Engraved. Scratched. Same thing to me. It's carved into the metal. That's all that engraving is.

 

Engraving is an art form,scratching is what chickens and cats do.
