Three Woodlands style acrylic paintings

Just bought these three little works today, reminiscent of Morriseau (but not copies) signed with an unfamiliar cypher/sig.

Anyone know this artist by any chance? Norval had a studio here in his last days and I assume many younger artists studied with him at that time.

The three paintings are on a thick canvas textured paper and each measure 12" x 9"

TVO did a documentary titled "There Are No Fakes" about Morrisseau and some of the people around him. The contention is that numerous others faked/imitated his style. Might give you some names to follow up on. (It's a 2 hour doc.)

@moreotherstuff I'm familiar with the fakes etc., however the "fakes" are copies of his stuff and signed with his sig, so I don't think these are part of that scene.

Over the course of my career I handled and sold over 20 large canvasses and the enormous 15ft screenprint he produced in Winnipeg. In the 1990's was also very fortunate to be good friends with the late John Sweeney, his first "mentor"

Back in the day, John Sweeney ran the local hardware store in Ontario where the teenage Norval Morrisseau traded art for paint - Home Hardware housepaint in those days of course.
