THRIFT STORE FIND! LARGE CHINESE GONG DRUM

    Today's thrift store find! Can anyone tell me anything about it?
    I know it's a Chinese Gong Drum, right? (I know it's missing the drum stick - any ideas where to get a correct one for this?)
    Any idea of age? (I found a few nails in it; they have a tic tac toe pattern across the head)
    I paid $49 for it; did I do good?
    Stand measures 26" W x 26" H
    Drum Measures 18.5" W x 5" D

    It doesn't look to be incredibly old. Beyond that...dunno.

    I have been to Japanese events where playing vertical drums was a thing.
