We bought a piece identical to this several years ago at an estate sale. It is tiger oak. It doesn’t have any stamps or labels on the back. Does anyone know anything about this piece?

No such thing as 'tiger oak', it's white oak which has been quarter sawn (a premium way to cut lumber). This piece is likely veneered quarter sawn oak, not solid cut. The term 'tiger' used for oak is among the most misused descriptions in the furniture world - Now tiger maple, or curly maple is a specious in the maple family which is where the incorrect use came from when discussing oak.
