Featured tigers eye cameo ring , need help identifying.

This was my great great grand fathers ring, just curious if i can get some help identifying age and value ( not that ima sell it ).
stamped 10 k on the inside along with a small hallmark

Id say victorian 1880s-1900 give or take. Any pics of the mark ?

best I could get of hallmark, it's beside the 10k, hard to see and I don't have a loop with me.

The lozenge shape is familiar, can't think where from right now. I edited your photo a bit:

 

A lozenge with an axe could be French, but a French mark would never be combined with a 10k mark. 10k is American, some Asian countries use it as well. The lozenge is probably a maker's mak.

 

The setting seems a bit unusual, with the asymmetrically-placed gem at the upper right. Maybe a diamond? I notice there is a hole in the back of where the gem is. Of course, it could also be glass or something.

 

Looks a bit like an eagle's head with a gem in its beak.

 

could also be a horse or a lion....?....maybe....

 

Does anyone else think it odd that the shield with the knight is upside down?

Could be a griffin or phoenix for the "animal"

From that angle it appears to be a wing.
