Tin Box - Weber Grill Advertising

    This Metal Box is a copy of a Weber Grill. Measures 3.75" by 4" with top hinged opening. Does it have a purpose or was it for advertising ?

    Looks like a box for band-aids, but probably not with those things sticking out the sides.

    Maybe meant to hold some extra parts?

    No, that's not the point. You buy a card as a gift (maybe toward buying a new grill) and instead of putting it in a greeting card, you get one of these boxes. All kinds of stores carry them at Christmas.

    Really pressed for time the last few days, but recognized the grill immediately - Lowes has had all sorts of interesting gift card holders for some time, I've picked up a couple of miniature tool-boxes just because I liked them, believe they used to be $2.95, but up to maybe $3.95 now...
