I have this large 7 ft by 3 ft painting and I was considering donating it, but I thought I would get some opinions first. I didn't want to make a mistake. I appreciate your thoughts and opinions. Thanks! 1110171715.jpg 1110171716.jpg 1110171717a.jpg

Interesting "paper" that it is painted on.

Yes it looks like a bamboo mat, but I am not sure.

It could be, painting on bamboo is done in different parts of Asia. This is not something I know about, so I can't advise you.
It is a nice painting, has some age. That's all I can say.

I imagine it could look nice in a minimalistic or Asian inspired dining room.

Don't think this has a lot of value. Value is in use for decoration. At that size, it could be worth several hundred in very good condition. I can not tell condition from these photos. If just so-so, I would think value would plummet.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Is that a damaged spot in the upper middle? If so, based on what others here have said it might be better for a donation. Although, the image is very nice.

No, it is not damaged...that is part of the painting. Thank you for your advice.
