Featured Tobacco ax head ?

    Does the form & size of this axe head indicate it's from a tobacco ax ? 5 x 4.5 inches. s-l1600 (26).jpg

    Karadam Tobacco Hatchet. Iron head and wood handle. We have not seen one of these before. Good condition. 16 inches tall.

    I'm unfamiliar with this working blade..........

    Oh yeah - looks like once a straight blade edge but was just over sharpened unevenly. I'd buy it for about 10$ at the most as the blade doesn't have much more life too it - probably actually was a discard. Add a time period looking handle and make it a wall mount.

    Stamped sheet steel and spot welding are uncommon in the 18th century (except on the internet)
