I like it. Looks like cartoon drawing and it would be interesting to find out the author. I tried but nothing came up.

I agree, probably South American. I think ebay sellers tend to label a lot of things Southwestern or Native American if there is even the remotest possibility or fits the look. In general, American art will outsell Mexican or South American.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Yes. Southwest is like Messi said...
and I agree that your piece is likely South AMERICAN.

Edit - the little-brimmed hats are a definite pointer to SOUTH AMERICA...
U.S. and Mexican hats are wide-brimmed... sombreros, "cowboy" hats, etc.

I would think it's from Ecuador. The hat's the key...it's the traditional style in the Andes region of Ecuador. Similar images show up on their woven rugs. Also on pottery. Not this exact style, but a similar image, showing only the back of the figures, and featuring the hats. Here's an eBay listing for one of those: 300766043154

Once someone misidentifies something on eBay, and the listing shows up on a web search, everyone else uses that as their "reference," and pretty soon something from Ecuador is now Peruvian. One of the problems in using the internet for research, if you don't check where the original information is coming from.
