Tribal carvings... junque or not?

    Sorry, will get some when the light's better. ;) The big one with red bits is about three feet high, the toothed one about two feet and the stick is.... well, walking stick sized! The big one is relatively lightweight, the smaller quite heavy.

    The long toothy mouth is an Indonesian signature also.
    Big Indonesian carvings do often fetch a couple hundred, apparently based on size alone.

    Indonesian, but fantasy items made for the decorator market, not based on any traditional tribal art forms.

    Blimey. So they were worth six dollars each then. ;) Thanks chaps, I'll dig a bit more on them! The toothed one looks like something out of Dr Who.

    Taupou, I thought sort of fantasy, but they were CHEEEEEP. I do cheap. I like cheap!

    Decorator items not junque, though, in every case - toothy one is great and has nice patina :)

    Funny - I got my mom started on the cashmere hunt, and used to think it was so cute when she got to throw in her senior discount - guess what? :)

    I'm now officially my mom haha
