I aquired these two pipes at an estate sale where the owner was a avid collectors and dealer. Can these be authentic 19th or early 20th? Were these the type used or more a souvenir? Will post additional pictures of the second one soon.

An internet image search for "Aztec snake pipe" will bring up many similars.

    They are Mexican souvenirs.:sorry:
Mind you, I see them sell for much more now than what we ever paid for similar souvenirs in Mexico. The style of the bigger one is vaguely Zapotec. The other one.....?

Thanks to both of you. Been searching Indian snake pipe and get nothing of the sort. Add the word “Aztec” and bang zoom, there they all are.

Goes to show you that us Americans often dont think there’s anything outside the USA,:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

My very first thought was souvenirs...

Those certainly brought back memories. I owned the twin of the green snake in college in the late 60s. Can’t remember too much about it or what happened to it (lol)-bought mine in Acapulco.
