Trinket tripod box - porcelain? Old?

Hello Folks,

This dear little enigmatic three legged box has got me wondering. Before I use it for my beard balm I would like to put it to you good people as to whether I have a vintage porcelain trinket box - or is it a very well made modern thing? I don't really know what it is - maybe for earrings and stuff - any ideas? I cannot see any mold ridges ... or any markings whatsoever - DOH!

Because it appears to be well made I was wondering whether it had some age?

Height 3 inches diameter 4 inches.

It has a slight transluncecy - like porcelain ... could it be, or is it white china clay.

Anyway, I thought you might like to see it before I put it to work! (unless its worth thousands!!)

 

With an image search for footed trinket box, I found a lot of them decorated. Without decoration, I don't think it matters who or when. Put your beard balm in it.
(I can hardly wait for the end of no-shave November.)

 

Thanks Janetjohn ... I promise I will only put beard balm in it - and not as one French 'Victorian' advertiser suggested buying his 'Bear Grease' or - wait for it - "The finest Snails Grease" !! Not to be kissed!!!

 

Oh, I can so relate to that statement (except mine starts mid-Sept. right after MY B-day!
