Trying to date a hanging lamp

    These were very popular in the 1970s. Yours likely dates to then. (The brown & gold colorway supports that date.)

    Thanks for the reply, the seller said 40's to 50's, I was thinking 60's as earliest but you may be right.

    I think mid 70s.
    You might check when Underwriters changed their label. The 1960s labels were different.

    That's the first thing I looked at, it has the older font but from what I've heard is only indicative of when those labels were designed for that company.

    The fonts used on the label are consistent with those used in 1970 graphic design.

    Am I reading that correctly? $700? Probably from the (one-of-a-kind) Sear's catalog.
