Featured Trying to ID This Piece of Uranium Glass

    Photo taken with flash. It is a pale green but not yellow so not vaseline. It's is good sized at 10 inches long by 7 inches wide and 6 inches tall. Kind of looks like a basket without a handle. I figure it's a long shot but i'm hoping someone may be able to help ID the maker and/or the pattern.

    It is a 4 piece construction. The side panels are comprised of 3 separate pieces and the base appears has been attached.

    I suspect you're describing the mold, not the piece itself. It's one piece of glass.

    The mold has 4 parts 3 side parts a the base plate which are all clamped together to make a solid unified whole. It was molded as one piece.

    Wow that's a beautiful piece! Love it!

    I cannot identify it, but hang on, someone will likely know the answer! :cat:

    Yes, I meant the mold sorry.

    Correct, pressed glass.


    If you enlarge this photo you can see the seam lines circled @ 3 o'clock, 7 and 11.

    Mold seams are often seen and generally of no assistance in identifying or dating the item. They relate to the ease of a clean release of the item from the mold to speed up production.
