Hi! I picked up these green glass footed/lidded urns in a market in Greece recently.
The vendor told me they were purchased from the inventory of an antiques merchant in Istanbul whose store closed almost 50 years ago. (It may have been a flowery exaggeration, but we love them nonetheless)!
Has anyone seen anything similar? There are no holds or marks and would be keen to date them.

Most interesting question... How did they end up in Greece? (Assuming the Turkey story is apocryphal.)

    Hi,
When I was doing yards sales back in the 80s in North Jersey I often had Turkish people buying stuff to send back for the shops. Sold a heck of a lot of glassware and china that went to Turkey.
