Awesome! INH, you nailed it! That is totally the mark. And Komokwa you are correct it is Navajo.

Now I have to look up Bisbee turquoise...

    Thank you! :)

Did you notice this part from the link.... " When we get to the JT section we find several marks, but none of them have the box around them. Fight the temptation to think one of the JT’s is your artist, this is a very distinct hallmark and most likely doesn’t belong to one of the artists listed."

Taken from INH's link, was basically going on this paragraph:

"I turn to Hougart’s Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks. The book is not as easy to use as Wright’s work, but it has lots of images. The book goes by artist’s last name, so I turn to the Ts. I come across a promising picture, and the name associated with the hallmark is Johnson Todacheeny.
[IMG] Native American & Southwestern Silver Hallmarks".

This was enough that I Ebay searched "Johnson Todacheeny" and every piece on has a stamp that looks exactly like the stamp on my ring. Co-joined JT in a box.

That said, I will definitely say in the description "not conclusive...etc". Based on the asking prices of the 3 or 4 pieces claiming to be Johnson Todacheeny on Ebay this week, I'm not sure it adds much value one way or the other beyond the value of a reasonably well done silver/turquoise piece.

    Thanks!

Thank you, Eileen. Just took a look under that name. Found an Etsy one, under Jessie Thompson Navajo, but didn't have the box or the co-joined letters. Will do some more research, though.

These seem to have the JT box mark for Todacheeny, and there are a number of examples online I found.

    Will continue to look, though.

    Thanks, all! :)

I would be cautious using listings as research. I know on eBay no one polices them, I bet not on Etsy either :(

I agree, that poor puppy needs sone silver polish!

I thought it was a very in-depth search done by PerryNullTrading. There is a Forum mentioned:
    https://forum.turquoisepeople.com/c/identifying-discovering
Maybe some members here would like to join as on occasion, the NA marks are not all discovered here. I would Image some of the members have reference books like the one referenced above.

    Maybe @reader has an idea.

Jivvy the research is my favorite

The first link INH posted really does sort this mark (with real references), but you have to read the entire "PART IV" section.
