Turquoise Circlet Pin of 5-Petal Flowers, Unmarked

    It's very nicely made; it has a unique (to my understanding) latch on the pin-keeper. No indication of maker, nor of metal content. It's ~1 inch in diameter. I don't think it's old. What do y'all see here?

    There's nothing unique about the clasp. A fiddly early 20th century safety clasp with a tendency to open on its own unless the latch really closes with a snap. I see the flowers as forget-me-nots.

    Agreed, and I also see Persian turquoise. I’d get that tested.

    I dunno...it's either paint, or enamel. Great color, but not the stone. Sigh.

    Ditto. These clasps were used from ca 1890-1920, and as you say, an early safety clasp.
