Featured Turquoise heishi (?) necklace --several questions.

Last ques from this estate sale group of finds. Tiny, tiny fill beads on this (shells?) correct to call this a "turquoise heishi chunk necklace"? The turquoise is kind of a darker blue than some turquoise if that points to a certain region or anything. I know zip about these, all info appreciated. Also curious if the closure strings (turns this into a 2 strand) would have been original or added on. Thanks.

 

To my eye, the stones look to be too uniform in colour to be natural, I'd say they look like they've been dyed?

 

Possible! I don't know about turquoise. Maybe that is why a darker blue color...

On the bead that has a chip along the bottom (4th photo, 3rd from left bead, top row) the color appears to be throughout, not on the surface.

No expert, but based on that I'd say real turquoise.

Shell heishi and turquoise nugget necklace. Some turquoise beads have pyrite inclusions, nice. One of the mines that is known for pyrite inclusions is Blue Gem, which is also known for intense blue stones. You can't pinpoint a mine for sure, but it could certainly be a natural blue.
