Twisted Sterling Handle Button Hook - think it is by Whiting

I was drawing a blank on this mark, but think it is Whiting. It is on a Sterling Silver handle for a button hook. The mark looks like it was stamped before the twist was put in, making it tricky to ID. I see a "W" in the crest on the left side of the symbol (which is followed by the word STERLING).

I remain curious if anyone has seen this style handle before, it seems unusual for the piece. Has anyone seen anything like it? Thanks ... Dave
