I don't know who did these prints, but to my eye, they look like the work of accomplished artists.

You should be completely right. These are bought in a gallery in Czech about 30 years ago, not by me, and should be two of the most famous artist at that time. For me its impossible to read signature.

I like both of the pieces. Just a guess, I think the last name on the first one might be "John".

    Dear John?
I found karel, but now I Wonder where to sell both John and Karel
EBay is no good at the moment because of custom rules in norway

Agreed... I thought of Picasso when I saw the print, then looked at the signature to make sure it wasn't his.

Is it eBay itself that's the problem or exporting it?

I wonder if Etsy has locations other than in the U.S.? If so, they might be a good venue. Or one of the online auction sites that specialize in art?

Its shipping. Cost me, or buyer about 100$, and that is too much I think
We Can try auctionsite here in norway called blomquist.no but only if estimated price are 100$ or more. They do not take art with low value.
I thought picasso too when I first saw IT, interesting pieces. They are bought in Praha in gallery in the 70thies

Wow, shipping costs that high must be frustrating. Are there alternative shipping services you can use?

I like PirateShip.com for shipping internationally... they have something called "simple export rate," with significantly lower rates. But I don't know if it can only be used when shipping from the U.S. to other countries.

The second one reminds my of Rod Serling's "Night Gallery" T.V. show ! ( and I don't mean that in a bad way ) I always wondered what happened to all that scary , disturbing art they used in that show !

    726 czech crowns = ~32.6 $ or ~300 Norwegian Crowns

he comes from a formerly German speaking town and his name is "Czechisised". probably from Karl Schäfer.

the family name John is widely spread in (former) German speaking countries as well and is NOT pronounced like English John but Ee- ohn, so the possibility exists that the auction house was either specialised on such people or that is was in the former Sudetenland.
