Two possibly french missal stands...

    As promised to Any Jewelry, here they are:
    Nr1, quite large, 31cm/33cm, unfortunately the pin of the hinges has broken off but it can still be used and adjusted 2014-07-05 16.54.24.jpg 2014-07-05 16.55.47.jpg 2014-07-05 16.56.21.jpg 2014-07-05 16.56.21.jpg 2014-07-05 16.54.02.jpg 2014-07-05 16.55.36.jpg Nr2: slightly smaller 28/29 cm(went to the balcony to make pictures) 2014-07-06 00.34.52.jpg 2014-07-06 00.35.24.jpg 2014-07-06 00.43.09.jpg 2014-07-06 00.35.11.jpg 2014-07-06 00.34.16.jpg Inherted them from my belgian uncle, I love them... would these be late 19th century?

    Very nice, opoe.
    They could be Belgian. I think proper mid 19th century, what we would call Neogothiek, Gothic Revival.
    Gothic Revival in the low countries began in the 18th century, but only started to have real influence on design from ca. 1840.

    Hehe... even my neighbors in my appartment block do not know that I live in a palace...;)

    On stand nr 2 don't you think there are some stones missing? It does not really bother me though.

    Probably glass cabochons, like on #2. Doesn't bother me either, but you can get replacements for very little money.
