Two silver trays

How did I do on these two trays? Going to clean them up. Would like to keep one and sell the other .

Does anyone have any idea if the man with the feathered cap is an old hotel logo?

 

Accidentally posted early. The silver soldered one is quite heavy weighing just under 6 lbs.
Both were a little over $6. Hoping they can be cleaned up nicely

 

Do you think the "logo" is supposed to be Mercury/Hermes?

The way the helmet is stylized on yours, I thought it looked like a middle-aged woman in a hat, out for lunch at the club!

 

Last time I brought them in I got $1.50 a pound

 

One says Pairpoint EPNS, I think.

Definitely Mercury/Hermes.

 

If you like them for personal use - you did well. For reselling - eh...
In the thrift stores I frequent around here there are literally dozens of silver plated trays like these priced between about 2 to 5 dollars a piece.

Lesson learned. At least I can probably get my money back on one. On eBay it looks like if I can identify the hotel for the Reed & Barton one I could do ok

 

Be sure to check sold items, not just prices on listings for sale - sometimes on ebay people ask ridiculous prices and the items just sit there - literally for years. That being said - I'm only speaking from my personal experience, and perhaps there are some silver plated trays out there with marks from specific hotels that sell well.
