    Hello,

I recently bought these two Tankards but I can't find the exact date/maker of them.

They both have the same markings.

    1) A crowned flower (fon't know if this qualifies as a crowned rose) with the letter 'M' underneath the crown.

    2) A 3 towered castle. This reminds me of Edinburgh but it's not similar enough.

    3) A crowned Lion with the letter B underneath and the words 'Etain fin' on the side.
This would indicade French/Suisse but the B reminds me of Belgium, where I bought these. Unless te B stands for a city?

You can find the pictures here as they are too large to upload: https://imgur.com/a/V1tvuzf

I would be most grateful for any help regarding these tankards.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Bron!

    Welcome to Antiques........:cat:

I"m sorry I have no information on your tankards, but want to say that if you are using your phone for photos, email them to yourself choosing Medium, save, then upload them here using the Upload button. Here you will choose Full Image when posting.

    Hi and welcome!

Just wanted to mention that select a size for the email from your phone doesn't work from all phones.

Photo size can be edited to 1 mb to upload here. Many people won't click on a link.

JMHO. what you'd have to search is the mark in the middle. the other two - English rose and étain fin - don't make sense together on the same item.
looks not very old from the color and surface. cerainly post-WW2.
