Hi wonder if anyone can help me date this grinder ? I've found some information online, but I haven't found any marked 'no. 33' like this one is. It's marked "patient pending" if that helps with dating. It's also got a sausage attachment which again I can't find any information about online

All help / information welcome , thank you !

I replied to your Introduction thread, but really should have replied here.

    Here is what I wrote:

I wish I had information about it, but I don't.

I can only tell you that many years ago, meat grinders were found in almost every home.

My grandmother made the best roast beef hash from leftover roast beef.

I think they came with different attachments. Perhaps the different #'s indicated certain features.

I'm in the USA...........they are offered at many yard/garage sales, but usually go unsold.

I had one I never used...........my home made hash never tasted like FarMor's.

I have many of these meat grinders from house clearances.

Found tucked away at the back in boxes or perished plastic bags under the sink or undercounter cupboards.

From a time when folks used to do partial home butchery and sausage making.
Very little use now as all meats can be bought ready prepared.

I'm afraid these go on the scrap metal pile.

Well you're going to have to clean the rust out of the device then buy some sausage casings.
It is an art so be prepared to waste a lot.

Cheaper to go to Lidl and buy some Cumberland.:hilarious:

No. 33 is the size of the mouth.
