So, I believe this pot to be made around the early 1900's but I cannot find a match for the makers mark. Any help identifying the mark is appreciated.

Can't agree with what Komo? Age? That's artificial crackle, not created by age or conditions.

    I believe Japanese Satsuma.

Sometimes they are called Brown etched marked warrior vase, jars etc.. They are usually 1960's. They can be older as early as the late 19th century. The warrior crackle jars are nearly always mid 20th century.

The mark is the Chenghua Period mark which was used extensivley in the late 19th century and also in the republic period and in the 1960's on these warrior jars and vases as emulation rather than to fool anyone.
