Featured Unknown Oil Painting Female Portrait

    Hi all.

    Not mine. I only have this pic of this unsigned portrait presently.

    Something about it greatly appeals to me despite the cracking paint/ condition.

    Including frame, it's roughly 34 x 28"


    Does anyone recognize the woman depicted, style/age of dress she's wearing, or
    frame?

    Early Victorian. But something about frame doesn't look right. I suspect a marriage.

    Worcester Art Gallery. c. 1840. No longer attributed to Thomas Sully. So a copy which explains the heightened coloring and the phony frame. And not one in good condition. Interesting.
