Hi. I purchased these Stangl Green Town & Country Candlesticks about 20 years ago from a small local antique shop that was going out of business. The proprietress was moving out of state. Their look and size are correct but are unmarked and unglazed on the base. I'd heard that Stangl molds were sold to a company I think named Cumberland. Are these them? I purchased other green t&c like this that day. The price was good. They are boxed up and I haven't gotten to them yet. IMG_9136.JPG IMG_9137.JPG IMG_9138.JPG IMG_9139.JPG

Heard once that Pfaltzgraff may have gotten ahold of Stangl molds too. I've no reliable source on any of this.

I've been looking at other t&c candlesticks on the internet and it seems all of them have unglazed bottoms. I'm surprised. So, I guess this is the norm. As far as missing the backstamp it's probably just an oversight. They were pushing the product out the door. So to speak. I'm sure this is from the Stangl shop. If it had been done by someone else the glaze would be dissimilar to other pieces.
