Unmarked vase /lidded jar id if possible

    Does the signature say 'Niemann'? Stylistically it falls into the category I have always known as Bavarian china. It's hard to really get a feel for it from your photos. Bakers sees amateur work while I do not. A better view might give more clues. Is it big enough to be a biscuit jar?

    It's not like I can see amateur work in these pictures = they are too small and not close enough to determine quality of the painting. I simply responded based on the signature.

    It says M.Neimann from what i can tell. Yes it is big enough to be a biscuit jar. Thanks

    Agree, German/Austrian/Czech style from the late 19th/early 20thC inspired by the Worcester designs of the period. Quality of such pieces is variable, this one looks good.

    Hi @jinxer1978 and WELCOME!!! Here are some tips....might want to copy and print so you can save it, or just save this link!!!
    For Future reference, when posting images:

    Each image MUST be UNDER 1 MB....
    there are instructions on site here on how to reduce the size of your image, if that is the problem......you are allowed up to 8 images per post!!! Here are some links to the instructions:

    Try emailing them to yourself as "medium" size, they should then be under 1 MB!

    I picked it up at a thriftstore for $4.99 because I thought it was so lovely i couldnt just leave it=). Thanks for the info on pictures!
