    It appears it could be molded plywood but it's hard to tell from the pictures. It would help if you posted a photo from an angle like this, against a blank background, where we can clearly see the full chair and legs.

    Think this was probably new 70 years ago. Think not American but can't provide any insights beyond that.

    Thanks for replys its solid hardwood with a joint in the middle of seat area with small round wood blanks to hide screws will get a few more pics on
